FASTENERS, WHAT ARE THEY?

The mechanical joining of two parts is accomplished by means of fasteners, which are often hardware pieces fashioned from metals like steel.

Screws, nuts, and bolts are examples of fasteners that can be used to make non-permanent joints. This means that they can be undone without harming either part of the joint. Attaching two parts with a fastener allows you to separate them in the future without causing any damage to either part. In due time, one may use a screwdriver to remove a screw, or a wrench to loosen and remove a nut. When parts are joined using techniques like welding, gluing, or soldering, for instance, they become immovable.

However, you shouldn't try to undo fasteners like rivets because they form permanent joins.

Fasteners are often quite tiny, with sizes measured in millimeters. The oil, shipbuilding, and pipeline industries, on the other hand, may make use of very bigger machines. A fastener is not characterized by its size, material, or application, but rather by its function of mechanically attaching two or more components.

A wide variety of fastener types are at your disposal.
